Top 10 Disney Moments - Number 6
One night we used 2 dining credits each to eat at Artist Point, a signature dining restaurant. I was a little worried about taking the kids to a fine dining restaurant but it is Disney after all, kids should be expected to be everywhere.
The evening started out ominously as a huge storm rolled in. Lightning and thunder surrounded us, as we made our way by boat to the Wilderness Lodge. Once we arrived, the kids pretended to be ghosts in their rain ponchos while we tried to wait out a downpour in a shelter.
There were very few children in the restaurant, but we sat in the corner out of the way, and with a very nice view of the waterfalls in the garden. In the restaurant Mitchell was on his BEST behaviour, AND he ate and ate. The kid ate an entire steak, which was very surprising. The food was pretty yummy - I had bison, Scott and Mitchell had steak and Derek had chicken. Derek was very wore out, since our dinner was late in the evening after a full day of Disney. He was trying to get comfortable in his chair and was pretty antsy, so we asked for dessert to go. The kids dessert was neat - it was a white chocolate puzzle with little dobs of coloured icing that the kids could paint on.
Overall fine dining was a success and it was a nice evening out as a family.
