Stars in my Eyes

Scott and I went to the Toronto International Film Fest on the weekend for the first time and it was awesome. We saw seven great movies and basically lived off of popcorn and pop for 48 hours. I'll recap the movies later but first I have to blog about my celebrity sightings.

It all started at the premiere of Rescue Dawn where I got to see Christian Bale. After the movie the director Herzog and actors, Bale and Davies, got on stage for a Q and A. I took a couple of pictures but they didn't turn out that great.



However, on our way out of the theatre, we walked by the side exit where they happened to be walking to their cars. We did not know this kind of thing happened, however lots of other fans apparently do. It was crazy, kind of a mini red carpet in reverse. We got there just at the right time and I was so close to Bale that I could have leaned over and kissed him on the forehead - however I did manage to restrain myself - the will power I have is amazing.

until some jackass put his video camera in my way. You can however see how he signed autographs with his silver pen.

This was going to be my awesome second picture of Christian Bale until...

a different jackass threw his batman picture up in front of his face. Notice however, Bale's beautiful head of hair :)

But here he is in all his glory - sigh.

Oh yeah that's the director and the other movie star (Jeremy Davies) behind him.
