A Freakin Lion Safari

Two weekends ago (I've been very slow to upload my pics to the computer) Scott, the kids, Mom, Dad and I went to visit Jim and the African Lion Safari. The weather could have been a bit better - who would expect to have to wear pants and jackets during the middle of the day in July - but it didn't stop us from doing anything except the splash pad. We started off going through the safari part and it was probably a little crowded for everyone in the back but they managed.


At first Derek thought that anything in a tree must be a squirrel or a bird, but he figured out what monkeys were pretty quickly. Our first time through we got to enjoy the monkeys without any damage to our car (we weren't so lucky the next time round). After the safari park and lunch we went to watch the elephant show and then Mitchell, Scott and Jim went for an elephant ride. More to follow...
