Fantastic Five

I hope three different birthday cakes/parties helped Derek get over being sick on his actual birthday. Throw in 2 Halloween parties in the same time frame and he's been one little boy hopped up on sugar.

September = TIFF

You might think September's focus would be school for me, but it is not. For the fourth year Scott and I (and Jill) made our way to Toronto's Film Festival. I think this year was the best - both with movies viewed and star sightings. I saw 10 movies:

The Men Who Stare at Goats
Daybreakers
Year of the Carnivore
The Disappearance of Alice Creed
Survival of the Dead*
All Fall Down**
Valahalla Rising
Balibo
Capitalism: A Love Story
Accident

Two bad movies; one I fell asleep during (*) and one I would have walked out of if I wasn't sitting right behind the director (**). I really enjoyed all the other movies.

Top 10 Disney Moments - Number 1

Spending 24/7 together.

Top 10 Disney Moments - Number 2

So I was joking when I said I might post about Disney in December, but I'm now only one month away from this coming true so I thought I'd better finish off the list.

One of my favourite moments happened by chance. We were on our way to ride Space Ranger Spin (again) and we got held up by the Celebrate parade. Deciding we would not have time to wade though parade watchers and ride the ride before our lunch reservations we decided to just stand and watch. At the end of the parade they called people to come out and dance with them on the street. Derek and I went out - what a blast watching Derek try to copy the dancers. I have video, but I can't get it off my camera for some reason so a picture of the parade will have to do.
