Stuntman Derek

On Saturday, Derek drove his scooter vehicle down the stairs. I was in the basement grabbing something quickly and I heard the thump, thump, thump and then the wail. A cut lip and a bruise on his side were the effects of this trip. Ask him what he did and he'll say "I rode my car down the stairs. It was funny." I'm afraid that this may be the first of many "stunts" by Derek to go wrong.

Great Wolf Lodge

Last weekend was our second visit to GWL, but this time it was a deal through my work. It was a great weekend, and we still haven't done everything that the lodge has to offer. The kids had as much fun as last time, but Derek had a bad start on his first slide and they both cried on the innertube ride. Mitchell enjoyed meeting up with Jocelyn here ans there, and she still calls him her boyfriend. We got to see Santa after he lit the GWL Christmas tree and we rode around the parking lot on a horse drawn sleigh ride. Maybe next time we'll get to try it all.
