Story Book Gardens

Mom and I took the kids to the Children's Museum and Story Book Gardens during the last days of summer. It was a fun day!

Big Boy

Derek's moved into a bed. There goes my baby and the crib has been stored in the basement. He's not doing too badly through the night but he sneaks out to giggle in our doorway about 5 times when he's put to bed. Then we shut his door, he cries hysterically for a couple of minutes, then he promises to not get out of bed and then he doesn't and he falls asleep.

Independance Day

Mitchell got a bicycle for his b-day and at the trailor park he's started riding around the block on his own. Boy did he have a big smile on his face when he set off on his own.

Thomas

Derek is a big Thomas the Train fan so we couldn't miss it when he was going to St. Thomas. What a celebrity sighting for the kid!

Summer Vacation

This summer we took a few days for a road trip. We started out (with our new GPS) on our way to Chad and Nicole's. We had a nice evening with them and Jim was there too with Cory and Toni. The next day we went to Canada's Wonderland together. The kids were all good and Mitchell really liked the diving show. Then we went to the Wilbur's and Ripley's cottage. It was wonderful with the exception of having Mitchell climb into our double bed each night - it was a bit crowded. The kids spent quite a bit of time fishing. Erin was a real fishergirl - she put the worms on and took the fish off for all the kids. My kids really liked the trampoline. On our way home we stopped at the zoo. The kids were excited about the splash pad but they didn't like it once we got on it as the water was too cold. They had a dinosaur exhibit that was great. The boys both liked it but went through it twice with their hands over their ears - I guess the dinosaurs sounded too scary.
