The "Good" Old Days

Mitchell had a rough day at daycare on Monday, which resulted in losing computer priviledges there for the week (!) and at home for one night. After being lectured by both Scott and I, we moved on with our night. Mitchell went to bed at his normal time (8:00), but was still awake at 9:20. I went in to talk to him and he said he couldn't fall asleep. I asked him what he was thinking about and he said that he was thinking about the computer. I said it was too bad he couldn't play on the computer. He was quiet for a bit and then said that he was also thinking about all the good days he had had. Then he wanted to know why kids couldn't do anything and why didn't adults have any rules. Maybe he felt like he'd had the chance to vent because within the next minute he was fast asleep and I was still at the end of his bed.
